写真は、シャッターを切る前から始まっている。
光を探し、場所を選び、その人がその人でいられる空気をつくる。私の仕事は、その一瞬のためのすべてです。

キャリアの始まりはファッションフォトグラファーのアシスタント。現場で写真の技術を叩き込まれたのち、2010年から2023年まで、インスタントフィルムの元祖・Polaroidの専属フォトグラファーを務めました。在籍後期はアジア地域のクリエイティブディレクターを兼任し、撮影コンセプトの立案からロケーションハンティング、モデルキャスティングまで、イメージが生まれる工程のすべてを手がけ、同時にビデオグラファーとしての表現も自分のものにしました。

独立した現在もPolaroidとの関係は続いており、作品は製品パッケージやクリスマスキャンペーン、新製品リリースの広告として世界中で使われています。

2024年からは東京を拠点に、アーティストのポートレートや、身体そのものと向き合う作品——飾らない、ありのままの姿を写す仕事を中心に活動しています。

誰かの想いを汲み取り、形にすることは得意です。長年それを仕事にしてきました。けれど今、一番大切にしたいのは、akisomeの写真だから、と選んでくれる人と作ること。スタイルに共鳴した者同士の撮影は、指示や演出を超えた一枚に辿り着くと信じています。

Photographer / Videographer / Director — Tokyo

A photograph begins long before the shutter clicks.
Finding the light, choosing the place, creating the air in which someone can simply be themselves — my work is everything that leads to that single moment.

I started my career as an assistant to a fashion photographer, learning the craft on set. From 2010 to 2023, I worked as the exclusive photographer for Polaroid, the original instant film maker. In my later years there, I also served as Creative Director for Asia — shaping concepts, scouting locations, casting models, and directing every step of how an image comes to life. It was there that I made video my own language as well.

My relationship with Polaroid continues to this day — my work appears on product packaging and in campaigns worldwide, from Christmas advertising to new product launches.

Since 2024, I have been based in Tokyo, focusing on portraits of artists and works that face the body as it is — unadorned, honest, present.

I have spent years giving shape to other people’s visions, and I am good at it. But what I value most now is working with those who choose me because it is akisome. When photographer and subject meet through a shared sensibility, the image goes somewhere direction alone can never reach.
